I'm getting a 'Link Error' when I click to Activate my link. What can I do?

If you see 'Link Error' when you click the blue 'Activate Link' button, your browser Privacy & Security Settings may be too restrictive.

In general, your browser must be set up to a) allow cookies and b) allow "third party tracking".

Google Chrome Users:

Open your Chrome settings (chrome://settings/content/cookies) and ensure that the following settings are correct:

  • "Allow sites to save and read cookie data" must be turned On
  • "Block third-party cookies" must be turned Off.

Also, ensure that you have disabled any Ad Blocker extensions.

Apple Safari Users:

Open your Safari settings via Settings > Safari on iOS, or on a Mac, you'll find them under Preferences / Privacy in Safari. Ensure that the following settings are correct:

  • Confirm that "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking" is Off/Disabled
  • Confirm that "Block All Cookies" is Off/Disabled

Also, ensure that you have disabled any Ad Blocker extensions.

Firefox Users:

Open your Firefox settings and ensure that the following Privacy & Security settings are correct:

  • Confirm that your block settings allow for "Cross-site tracking cookies" 
  • Confirm that your block settings are not restricting "All third-party cookies"

Also, please ensure that you have disabled any Ad Blocker extensions.

Microsoft Edge Users:

Open your Edge settings and ensure that the following Privacy & Security settings are correct:

  • Confirm that the Cookies setting is set to "Do not block cookies"
